My team and I created Perigives - a concept to help solve the issue of lack of access to menstruation products for homeless women.
Perigives is a foldable poster that converts into a free menstrual product dispenser that anyone could donate their spare products in. It is available to download via our website.
PR out reach
We’ve all said it: “Periods are the worst.” To many of us ‘the worst’ means having painful cramps and not making it to barre class, for others it means giving up a meal or their dignity just to get access to basic menstruation products. This platform aims to make things right.
To bridge the social gap between people who bleed, connecting those who can afford menstrual products to those who need help to access them.
Perigives has created foldable posters with pockets, that enable people to give and receive menstruation products without barriers. These posters are distributed in female public restrooms and are accessible on our website to anyone who wants to help.
We launched with 50 posters in public bathrooms located throughout NYC guerilla style. The results were beyond our expectations - people donate their menstruation products to help others within 3 hours of us setting up the posters.
